With ANTIQUO, Cuban keyboardist and composer Gonzalo Rubalcaba confers new credibility on a premise that's become litte more than a well-worn phrase. He muses on the flood of ancient emotions and the antiquity of dreams that helped inspire this album. He desires to convert authentic Afro-Cuban traditions in a manner that is compatible with the universal music language.
